Nokia 7.1 to arrive in India in November, price details leaked.
Nokia 7.1 to arrive in India in November
It has premium design with Zeiss certified cameras and HDR 10 compliant display
It will be priced under Rs 30,000
As speculated, Nokia did not announce the Nokia 7.1 in India on October 11. The phone debuted in London on October 4, but a new report says it may finally arrive in India sometime in November and that it will be priced under Rs 30,000.
Nokia 7, with a sleek and tall full metal rust colour accented body, was announced in India earlier this year in April at Rs 25,999.
Now the Nokia 7.1 is not to be confused with Nokia X7 (a.k.a the Nokia 7.1 Plus if launched globally), that launched in China days later on October 16. Though both have a very similar design with a notch display and glass back, they are two different Nokia phones.
A report from 91mobiles reveals that Nokia will launch the Nokia 7.1 in India. There is no word on the launch of Nokia 7.1 Plus as of now.
The phone has Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and back, and a dual-anodised Series 6000 aluminium frame with diamond cut edges with copper or silver accents (depending on the colour option) all around the frame, buttons, rear cameras and fingerprint sensor.
The Nokia 7.1 sports a 5.84-inch FHD+ notch bearing display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is an IPS LCD panel, what Nokia calls PureDisplay, with HDR 10 support. Fitted with a Snapdragon 636 chipset having 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB expandable storage, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo under the Android One program with guaranteed update to Android 9 Pie.
Nokia 7.1 has Zeiss certified dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. At front, Nokia 7.1 has an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
The Nokia X7 on the other hand is powered by Snapdragon 710, has a bigger 6.18-inch screen with same PureDisplay technology and HDR 10 support. The dual camera setup is also different with 12-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and 1.4um pixel size and 13-megapixel secondary sensor. It also boasts a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
The Nokia 7.1 is priced starting 299 Euros (about Rs 25,000) and it may get a similar price tag here in India. The phone will be online exclusive.
What's interesting to note is that Nokia X7 has a cheaper price tag at CNY 1,699 (about Rs 18,000) for the 4GB + 64GB variant.
